So with changes to my holiday plans - I was pricing up a club class flight YVR -LHR - YVR yesterday on BA.com - and the price i was given was Can$1649 each way....which converted to around £2640 odd.....

Went in today to get the actual figures to double check options and the selfsame flights (mid August out and early September back) had gone up by just under £500 per leg so a £1000 near as dammit price rise in just under 24 hours....

A dummy booking on OPODO this afternoon produced the £2640 figure....

I know that airfares can vary day to day - but i was astounded to see this particular one.... and unless it comes down again - I can see me taking up Air Canada's return fare of £2400 odd. I 'm happy to go with BA £2640 but I'm not prepared to ante up an extra grand to fly the flag!
