Edited to add: What I would have given for a fake cab at midnight on Tuesday! After massive storms & cancellations, the cab line at T3 was a couple hundred people long/40 minutes wait.
Yes, it DOES happen at O'Hare....I've been approached a number of times. I pick up my luggage at AA claim and I often have to make my way to what they call the "Bus Transit Center". Along the way, at one or two entrances, someone will approach me and ask me "Where are you going?" My standard response is "I don't believe that that is any of your business" and keep on walking. That usually ends it. Once, it didn't. The guy started to follow me and explain that he wanted to know where I was going. I spoke up in a louder voice than normal, so that many in the area could hear, "Are there any police here?" The other guy turned and left.
Doesn't happen every time I land, by any means, but yes, it DOES happen!!
