I think you were being selfish for not taking the cab driver and his buddy up on switching seats. They offered to take you in their "cab" and you refused; instead opting for a seat in an "official" - one might say "assigned" - cab. They were obviously in need of the fare (why else would they risk bringing a stranger or two into their car?) and you were just too selfish to help them out, putting your interests above theirs. Your analogy doesn't make sense. These people may have robbed us at gun point. Yes I was selfish because I was worried that my girlfriend and I may be harmed and possibly end up in the Chicago river. At least I admit it because I felt it was a good reason (i.e. our lives may have been in danger). Comparing this situation to not switching seats on an airplane is ludicrous. Then again, your probably one of those selfish passengers.
