I just went to NJ because my Grandma passed away and I took a later flight since I wanted to spend more time w my family there- wrong choice. I had a connecting flight in Phoenix that I was about to miss when I was made to sit for an hour since my flight was delayed by first air traffic control and then we sat in the airplane for another hour due to "weather." So next time I know, leave early and try to find another place to fly into.
