Really, the greeters are just there to help you get value and point out you're entitled to EA or ES. Don't worry about it. If you self-downgrade you will be charged the correct rate for the class of car taken. (Note that the 'reserve X, pay X-1 rate' Exec Select benefit has some limitations.)
