Well, I wonder what would happen if you tried, and pleaded ignorance that the extra seat has to be labeled as such. It certainly could seem logical to a lay person to book both seats with your name. Could the gate agent do a name change before boarding? Would the IDB the second ticket? Is it even an IDB? Inquiring minds Want to know!
