I've also never had a problem when calling up, with other passengers being moved if required to accomodate myself and Asisflyer Jnr. I however always do this as early as possible and also arrange nappies, food etc to suit the size and age at the same time.

One piece of advice that I picked up on another thread is to inform the agent on the phone of the size and weight of the infant. A one year old is likely to be getting too large to fit in the bassinet, so the assumption may be made incorrectly that the bassinet will not be of any use in any event.
