In the past, Amtrak had a silly policy that you couldn't pickup your prepaid tickets at a Quik-Trak machine less than 20 minutes ahead of scheduled departure. That's exactly when you most need Quik-Trak vs. a long line at the manned counter, if the station even has staff.

Has Amtrak modified this thoughtless policy, and if so what is the current cutoff time, if any?

Thanks, I don't want to leave work early just to pick up a prepaid paper ticket, which should be an e-ticket in the 21st century.
