Well, that was my exact question, actually. So it is possible to book the trip point-to-point? Because I didn't see anything about that as a possibility on the site. I assumed (possibly incorrectly) that if I book ORF to BWI and then BWI to LAS, I'm going to be using two Buddy Passes, not one (as if I booked ORF to LAS and it sent me to BWI in the meantime).
Going back about 20 years, I was non-revving on WN from ABQ to LAX traveling on an ID (industry discount) ticket. One of the non-stop flights canceled that day. There was no way I was getting to LAX that evening on a non-stop or a direct flight. The gate agent rerouted me to BUR (with a connection at LAS). I had to drive to LAX to pick up my bags, skis and boots.
