Travelling to Tibet via China - which passport to use?
Hi All,
In late Aug/early Sept my friends and I are travelling to Asia: Fly from London to Beijing, train to Lhasa, Tibet, and fly back to Beijing. We're going up to Mt. Everest base camp so that should be fun.
We're just about to start the Chinese visa process. My friends are British so they're going to get their Chinese visas on their British passports.
I was born in Canada, raised in the US, and almost a British Citizen (this Monday!). So I've got the option to use either a Canadian, American or British passport. I've already got the Canadian and American passports. I should have my British passport towards the end of July.
My question is - does it matter which passport to use when entering Tibet from China? I know we have to get Tibet entry permits, but that's after the Chinese visa is received. All of my international travel to-date has been on my American passport, my Canadian passport will be blank and obviously the British one will be as well.
Thanks in advance.
