I usually go up to someone and ask what number they are. I don't show them my BP and I've never had a problem. If I'm A16 and they're A20, I don't worry too much if they're ahead of me. If it's B35, that's a different story.

I had to hide my C-22 BP last week at MDW. I switched to an earlier flight with a BS ticket, but they had released the BS seats. The counter rep stamped the BP and wrote to "board with BS." Her comment was "just duck in at the end of the BS line."

The ops agent hesitated for a few seconds until I explained it and she understood.
