I have a Canon ImageCLASS MF5770 that absolutely sux at envelopes. I have to hand-feed it envelopes, one at a time, and keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't chew one up, twist it such that addresses print uphill or downhill, or lock up completely and start beeping at me.

My needs are modest. I only print 20 or so envelopes a week, but it's usually so painful on my Canon, I route them to my wife's ancient low-end Samsung laser. This also takes forever, as I have to boot her machine (she works elsewhere), remove paper, stack envelopes (no more than 5 at a time or it won't feed), wait for nearly a minute for each one, and move constantly between two rooms.

Years ago I had a LaserJet 4 that worked fine, but I've not been all that enchanted with current HP offerings. I would gladly purchase one, though, if I knew it handled envelopes well.

Not much on the web in the way of printer reviews that mention envelope handling. So, any recommendations?
