Not to dish... but precisely !

Why did CX hire this so-called famous designer where no one outside of HK has heard of him? I don't think many people in HK knew of him either!

CX's previous uniforms were designed by Nina Ricci.

Why didn't CX (actually many issues there, eg headphones, serviceware, tablecloths) go the way of SQ and hired an internationally renowned designer?

Actually, there's even a Facebook page about him being the worst designer in the world : http://www.facebook.com/pages/%E5%8A...09420905775735

I had problems with CX's idea of 'art' too and hired someone to create 'art' at considerable expense to don the new interiors of the business class cabins. Why not just use say B&W photographs of the HK countryside for example. Simple clean and efficient - not to mention the saving of $ !!

Or even just use caligraphy ... it doesn't even have to be someone 'famous'. Or even say, Chinese quotes from say Confucius! It's simple art - but I bet it gets people talking ...

How may people really want to buy those paintings hanging on CX aircrafts???

Unnecessary expenses !!
