Diamond status comes with the 'formal' status (guarantee of breakfast, internet, best room, bonus points) and you have to build up your 'internal' status with the hotels as well: the more often you stay at a property the better your treatment gets. Five years into Diamond I have some hotels I frequent often and the treatment there is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired. Hyatt is very good at loyalty management and I like the fact that they are very reliable here.
