Do you know why they are restricting the 77W and A380? Newer, nicer and higher demand? If it's during low season, they still won't release it to *A an instead fly vacant or upgrade their own KF members?
77W is the abbreviation for 777-300ER.

The restriction is year round. There is no low/high season for R/F/C class travel anyway. You can upgrade to R/F/C using SQ miles, it just costs a lot of miles.
