A friend of mine recently received his new Amex Zinc card and was excited as this was his first Amex card. Least to say, Amex did not make a good first impression because no points have posted to his account after three months of spending. He finally called them the other day and was on hold for nearly an hour when the call was dropped. I asked him what number he called and was surprised that the number on his Zinc card was different than that on my HHonors Amex card. I found cannot find either the number on his Zinc card nor my HHonors card posted on their website, but am curious why Amex would have so many different phone numbers for seemingly specific cards. Granted, I could understand why the platinum and other high end cards have dedicated lines, but not the two mentioned above.
