Too bad no one has any "pull" at Toque, as I guess they have some special chef coming in for tomorrow night and only one seating, which is why they can't get a reservation.

As for the hotel, they got a $159CN rate for a "premuim" room thru Amex Platinum Card, which includes b'fast and a possible upgrade, which is a great deal...the Ritz was actually $149CN... I like the Vogue. I stayed there a couple of times about 10 years ago just as it first opened when I was dating a girl from Montreal and thought it was pretty cool...I also liked the Ritz, but I can see how it has become "tired"...
