You must go to the Royal Livingstone if this is a special occasion. Just been and it was quite remarkable and its location is perfect.

Enjoy it, it will be wonderful. I just went in May and the weather was lovely in the day but cold at night. Not sure when you are planning but the winter meant no mosquitos ^
The royal livingstone is very nice but still a proper style hotel. If your really looking for something different stay where I stayed a few years go; Tongabazi http://www.tongabezi.com/tongabezi_tree_house.php
