Hi

I am flying to houston by continental and then from houston to bangalore,india by emirates.
If I book the flights seperately on the respective airline website,comes out cheaper than at orbitz.
The question I have is, will I have to take my checked baggage at houston and recheck them since it is 2 different airlines and i have 2 different itineraries?
