I'm going to be traveling 5:45AM flight FLL-ATL to then catch an ATL-SLC flight with a 39 minute connection. Although there's a flight one hour later, I really need to do everything I can to get into SLC before noon and want to make this connection. In my experience, none of that works. Whether you make it or not will depend on the first flight getting to the gate on time. If it is on time, you will make it. I have tried letting them know I am there but bottom line is if you are not at the gate at a certain time and they need your seat, they will give it away. If your second flight isnt oversold and your first flight is close to on time at the gate, you should have no problem.
