Well, the key i always look at is the tail. 737s have a kind of 45 degree slope before the tail goes up, the 32s doesn't. Winglets- although a320-100 doesn't have them, neither does the 737/4/500 aircraft. The NG 737s (6/7/8/900 series) seem to have big tips, whereas a320-200 have different winglets which go below as well as above the wing.

The 737 is lower than an a32x, and a bit narrower, and tinny and horrible!

The 737-200 has engines that look small and squished, but they're a rare sight these days.

You can tell a 737-1/2/3/4 and older 6/7/8/9 because they have additional DV windows above the main flightdeckcwindows. The newer -6/7/8/9 don't have these.

Also, people often get confused between 767-300/400s (the-200 is easier to spot) and 777-200. Easiest way is to look at the landing gear- the 777 has 3 visible main gear (12 in reality) whereas the 767 has 2 visible (but 8 in reality).

I'm sure I'll get some of that wrong though- it's not Gospel!
