Tonight, I get to my gate 5 min before the doors close (MX in JAX), scan my BP and the GA says I've been moved because there were pax needing assistance. Happy to make the flight, I boarded with my new seat and didn't put up a fight until I got on the plane. The pax in 1C and 1D were able-bodied adults.

Walked back up the jetbridge and I told him I'd like my confirmed seat back as I booked it online and the pax in my seat clearly did not need assistance. He insisted I could not book these seats online.

We land in BTR and the pax in 1C and 1D deplane first, without any assistance. And get this, the pax in 2C needed a wheelchair...

I don't mind moving seats if the pax is truly in need but I don't like being lied to either by the GA.

Can anyone confirm if the PAX in 1C or 1D on 5081 last night (6/19) ATL-BTR needed "assistance"? Or was it shena?
Even worse they have started blocking row 2 seats B & C so if you are two you have to now go back to row 3!

I like row 2 as row 1 people jump up into hallway and I can get up and be fast off and not feel the CRJ heat and crush on landing. Very bad move DELTA if you are reading this!
