This is a disturbing trend, or a new policy planted in corp. system. I emailed them today to get a clarification on this sticky issue..........upselling before all GS, 1k's and 1P's have cleared waitlist for a flt. Last time I flew from NRT to SFO, I didn't get cleared for upgrade til 15 min.s before departure time, using miles & money planned way ahead.
I do like Delta's new 30 sec. TV spot talking about loyalty of an airline to their most loyal customers; how its a 2 way street; if a customer is loyal to an airline, is that airline loyal to them with red coat service, upgrades, etc.
