You mentioned, you already have a work permit. But you did not say you already have a visa?
As soon as you have a visa (which will be a Schengen-visa) you can freely travel within the Schengen-zone. There is no additional immigration-control when crossing an intra-Schengen boarder, so you can fly Stockholm-Amsterdam/Rome with no problem, if you have a Schengen-visa.
