No, it looks different too -a bit like the difference between a 737-500/300 and 400, or between a 777-200 and -300. Or Avro RJ85 and 100. Or ERJ170 and ERJ190.

Plus as Potakas notes, the A321 is not liked by some flightcrew -especially in crosswinds I'm led to believe.

Many hate the A320 series -I actually love it -my favourite aircraft is not the 747, but it is the A319! Strange but true!
