<<Did you manage to go on any reef tours? >.

The only reef tour we took was on the seaplane. I regretted not having had the opportunity to go to the reef on a boat. I think it may have been more fun. We could have done this from Cairns but did not do so.It was June when we went and the reef was windy and a bit cold. It was also creepy as we were the only ones at the reef. Just the pilot, my wife and myself. I did not feel comfortable. However it was a wonderful experience.

The 1/2 day trip on a yacht to some deserted beach was quite nice but I have seen prettier places.

Which would you say is the island with the nicest beaches/water etc? There are so many resorts/ islands that it is difficult to make up one's mind.

I agree with you that the food was very good and the service outstanding.
