The Mayor - or as I prefer, Bimbo Bill - is a dunce. Who, except the usual fart-catchers for the PC's and the Alliance, can forgive him for supporting Day and touting him as the future Prime Minister of Canada? But I digress, AC can do no wrong in Bimbo Bill's world as I have little doubt they've wined and dined him to puff up his inflated pride.
Edmonton has prospered despite his embarrassing stances (when he gets away from his muzzlers)particularly when it comes to AC. Remember he said diddly-squat when AC cancelled YEG-DEN and, if memory serves me correct, actually supported them "in these tough times"....
The EAA isn't far behind. If there's a more secretive, non-responsive, ineffectual appointed body let me know. Numerous times to my suggestions that they take a tougher stance on some of the things AC does, they do the usual genuflection that AC expects from all Airport Authorties in this country.
IMHO, about the only thing right that's been done by the EAA is not to criticize WestJet because at least they have steadily increased service to YEG. Strange, isn't it,
that WestJet has captured such large market share here? Only to AC management squirrelled away from reality in YUL desperately dreaming of a new Nortel or Enron
that spends money like a drunken sailor....
