It's a complex issue but shouldn't be. To me, it should be no different than a change in marital status such as marriage or divorce. However, I guess only the H/R experts can answer that question.
What surprises me is that TSA would put itself into a position to allow an individual who appears to be female to pat down male passengers. To me, this would seem to exacerbate an already contentious issue with regards to cross-gender screening.
Just wait until the first gay person demands to be searched by a person of the "opposite" sex for the same reason.
What's making it so
complex is the unprecedented government demands that people wholesale ndergo X-Ray scanners or an invasive search, or possibly both, to fly on a plane. How many thousands of people in a day? How many millions in a year?
