I've done the trip a handful of times and agree - best crews and amenities domestic. Used a well done cert Friday - ended up with a bottle of wine as a thank you and apology for the 2 hour delay due to weather in NY. PFB and refills - attention to the fill of my wine glass throughout - skipped the entre but had the appetizer and cheese plate. Passed on the sundae. Water handed to me any time my bottle was less than half full....
It's a great alternative (as opposed to ATL and then domestic ATL-SAN) coming back from Europe and heading home. You get concierge in JFK and a solid hard product for the next 6 hours.^^
