I'm thinking of coming to Fort Lauderdale for a long weekend (Thursday to Sunday), and I usually go to the Westin Diplomat.

Should I choose the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort & Spa instead? If yes, why?

Side question: does the Westin Diplomat still have that superb lounge?
