You are absolutely right about the terrible food (especially the grisly and inedible steaks), but you can't beat the lie-flat seats and 15-inch video screens in C. There are plenty of seats available that are front-facing in C class - I have never failed to secure one, but from what I gather you don't even realize what direction you are flying once you are up in the air.
