Get an FM transmitter for your iPod.

Amazon should have a bunch of them for cheap.

Set the transmitter to transmit at some "dead" spot on the dial (in Phoenix, for example, a good dead spot is 96.5FM). Plug the transmitter into the port for your iPod, and turn the car radio to 96.5

Presto Zappo... you're listening (note: you may need to adjust the location of the transmitter/iPod to get a criisp+good signal depending on the car model and specific transmitter... some are better than others...)
