We have just found out that my husband will need to have in-flight oxygen (2L/min) during our IAD-LHR flight next week, and the return flight LHR-IAD. I've called BA and made the necessary arrangements. We will be using the oxygen supplied by BA, not using our own concentrator.
I just finished reading another thread regarding a family needing in-flight oxygen, and was really impressed with the response from the British Airways staff and their knowledge level! However, there are a few unanswered questions that I have regarding our specific circumstances, so I am posting a new thread. I hope people don't find this too redundant.
Now, on to my questions:
We are booked into Club World. I was prepared to check in at T-24 to make sure we got good seats, but I was told by BA that we would not be able to choose our seats due to the oxygen requirement.
Does anyone know or have an approximate idea as to which seat my husband will be assigned? And, will my seat will automatically be assigned to be next to him? (We are booked on the same itinerary.)
The outbound flight is a 777, and looking at the seating map, it appears that CW is located in rows 10-15, with a 2/4/2 configuration.
The inbound flight is a 744, and it appears that CW is located on the lower deck from rows 12-14 and 17-20, with CW seats in the upper deck as well.
Many, many thanks in advance to the knowledgeable board members.
