That is odd.
A stereo 1/8"-to-RCA cable might work in that situation and can also be picked up for $5 or so at Radio Shack et al.
But it's not common at all to have RCA inputs on a car. I've seen them on some vans outfitted with DVD entertainment systems, but I would have been surprised to see it in anything other than a minivan...
