Thanks for the tips, looks like I'll be o.k., and if I'm not I can get booked on the later DCA flight and will just have to be late to my function.

It is not a legal connection, the DCA departure was moved up after it was booked and I was given the option of changing to the later flight, but I'd rather try to make the connection. I also tried to get to IAD thru CDG - mostly to fly on the A380 - but I would have not been able to use my SWU. As it is I will be sitting in the upper deck of a 747 for the first time ever - something I never thought I'd ever be able to do - A380 will be around for awhile I'm sure.
