Looks like I'll make the jump from Prestige to Elite early after some longer trips in August and September which should put me at about 40,000 miles for 2011. Was Elite the year before so anxious to get it back and sooner the better.

How do the eUpgrade options work in terms of availability and expiry. One of the biggest reasons I miss Elite is the ability to upgrade on Tango Plus fares. Back then we got the sweet SSWU certificates but now with these eUpgrade points you get the same ability essentially, just for large # points I gather...

Will I be able to start upgrading TP fares with points shortly after early Elite recognition? How long will extra eUpgrade credits be good for?
