I wrote asking them to consider qualifying by dollar spend per year but didn't receive an answer. We spend on average $300-400 per night, plus extras from dining, spa etc, but only manage maybe 25 nights/yr. Our current trip is 15 nights (may make more than 25 nights this year but not to 50) but will be around $6000, but only 4 stays. We live in uk and only travel for leisure but feel we offer Hyatt enough business by spend to 'deserve' diamond. At present spend in not legitimate, but I get fed up with people acting as if people who don't stay at least 50 nights are not loyal to Hyatt, although in some places 50 nights costs $5000 or less.

And yes we have thought of going somewhere cheap for a month or 6 weeks, but can't do so with 20 days holiday/year (I do appreciate this is more than many may get).
