I guess the SQ forum is the best place to ask this. I'm looking a booking an F award ticket with a *A carrier, but the closest they can get me to my final destination is SIN. I am allowed 3 x 70lb. bags and plan on utilizing every ounce. My understanding is that if you are connecting through Changi, even if you booked the tickets separately, your bags are transfered and the airlines all agree to take your bags because of some sort of agreement.

Just to clarify, if I book Y flight onto my final destination on a non-budget airline like Malaysian Airlines, will the airline accept my additional luggage without charge?
