So, let me see if I get this straight:
Something bothered you, and *somebody else* complained but you didn't, and now *you* want compensation because *somebody else's* complaint wasn't handled the way *you* wanted it to be handled?
IMO, at the moment when (if it was *so* annoying) you decided not to ask the person giving you trouble to please stop, you have waived your right to complain later, let alone be compensated on anything.
Again IMO, the proper order would be:
1. Ask the offender to be quiet
2. Ask the FA explaining that you tried directly but it didn't work
3. File a complaint report right there on the plane
4. ..... on flyertalk.
