1994 trip to film a movie in California... see TWA L-1011's!!

Well, this is from my OLD job.

I am transcribing this from travel diary i kept while in the adult film industry. i was in this industry from 1979 to 1996. i'm proud to say i introduced waxing to this field in 1986, and it hasn't looked back since. their cars are now shinier too. on june 16 of 1994, i was in St. Louis, Missouri. I got called on my then hip bag phone, plugged into the car's cigarette lighter through two or three different fist-sized adapters that I was needed out in sunny Southern California to film a crime film called "Messy Shooters." it was time to recruit errr... cast people for the film.... wonderful big-shot actor names like Straight-Up Johnson were on the casting call.

i must say that i was in St. Louie for business purposes. it certainly wasn't pleasureful. After three days at the annual Beat Me In St. Louis convention, hosted by a Howard Johnson, I was wanting a few weeks R & R to let the welts and chain/handcuff marks to heal. no such deal, i had a ticket waiting for me at STL to travel to Los Angeles that next morning. after another night in the HoJo, I returned the rental car to Alamo and checked in for trans world airlines flight 31, the noonish L-1011 to LAX. I had seat 3-1, a window in the third row of First Class. I checked in my dungeon-device filled suitcase (I went on a shopping spree for the studio at the convention's dealer hall, and no, I didn't test any of them out. I was too sore!!!!).

ice pack on my hip, i relaxed in the ambassador club above the now C-concourse before my flight was called. I preboarded and sat down on two pillows on my wide blue cloth seat with two red and one white stripe running up the center. thankfully nobody next to me. for pre-takeoff i had a mimosa served by a 90-something year old TWA granny. push back on time, powerful buzz-saw takeoff in the L10. I passed out at altitude, and woke up to have a few bloody marys followed by a brew or two. i had a salad from the lunch service with ranch dressing, a rather large salad. then passed out until we landed in LAX a little after 2:00pm pacific time. Out and to claim my bag before taking the shuttle to hertz and picking up my ford taurus... oh i miss the old boxy ones now in 2002!!!! a trunk big enough for an orgy!

drove to venice beach and checked into a best western nearby. soon enough, time to go to the studio, two flights above a butcher shop and meet the director, Big Ball. Apparently he used to play football until he was injured. my mission... find four females and sixteen men who wanted to experiment with DVDA for the film. and to think, DVD technology wouldn't be widespread in every home until about the year 2000! i guess we were early with our premature release!

off to dinner at a denny's where i had the western omelet which gave me bowel problems all night long. thank the lord for the vibrating bed to put me to sleep along with a few sleeping pills and a half bottle of jack daniels. it'll be a long, very very long, and rock hard day ahead of me!!!!
