The main problem with this is that I want to sleep a lot on almost all flights. I'm not a very efficient traveller and before departing on a long-haul trip I'm always up late packing and dealing with last-minute emails and phone calls. So I need to catch up on sleep otherwise I'd be unable to function on arrival, which to my mind is a waste of the valuable time I'd have at my destination. Sleep also passes the time better than anything else. So even on the day flights LHR to JFK, I'm usually lying flat for about four hours. On the return from anywhere, at any time of day, I'm usually exhausted from my last night of fun and need to sleep before I get back to work.

I did say to a friend that with the CW sale prices going so high I was considering WTP to New York but he very firmly told me to get a grip and not even think about it.
