The hoses are plastic, the housing is plastic, the rest of it is metal. I rather suspect you would get away with it because my experience is they don't see narrow tubes of water. I wouldn't take the chance unless you have something else you can do with it if they catch it, though.
More of an issue is they probably can't see inside the radiator and it might be disallowed for that reason.
Ah that was a little closer to what I was looking for. I wonder if the radiator would be a problem giving that there so many non water cooling systems that they probably wouldn't be able to see under either.
