That said, they are selling these MQMs to AMEX at a price far higher than the non-MQMs. AMEX knows that status actually means something (their own customers are gradually figuring out that regular miles are nearly useless) and are willing to pay DL a premium for them.
Asking DL to stop selling MQMs is asking them to kill a big source of revenue. As much as I wish they would... they won't.
You dont really wish that do you? Amex, while it has its drawbacks, such as dilution of awards, allows DL to be somewhat profitable and offer a decent product. The cash infusion that AMEX provided was critical in rehabilitating DL to where it is.
As PaulMsn said why are your MQM better than AMEX MQM? Yours cost DL money to give you. DL got money to give me the AMEX ones.
