MACAU

From the W hotel in Kowloon to the Hong Kong side is very easy. The Hotel is located right above the Elements Mall and the Kowloon MTR Station. The Hong Kong subway system is very efficient, clean and most importantly all air-conditioned. (I wish New York was like this)

After a quick transfer from Kowloon -> Hong Kong Station -> Sheung Wan 15mins I arrived at my station and headed to Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal (港澳碼頭). I booked a one way helicopter ride on Sky Shuttle to Macau. The flight would be only 15 minutes, but it was 15 minutes of fun. Entering immigration I proceeded to the private elevator to the top floor, and entered the sky shuttle lobby. I handed my passport to the attendant, weighed with my carry bag and entered the security scanners.

A light buffet was served before the flight and about 5 minutes later the attendant handed me my passport with a arrivals card already filled out with my details.

There would be 7 passengers including myself on todays flight. Ear plugs handed out, I followed the attendant to the helipad and boarded the 9 seater helicopter ready took for a 15 minute thrill ride to Macau. Once we landed I was escorted through the private Macau immigration for Sky Shuttle guest and a moment later I was ready for my 3 hour adventure. once cleared through there are lots of people standing around selling tours and hotel sales before exiting to a mass of model-esk girls holding signs for the shuttle buses to various hotels throughout both islands. I took the free hotel shuttle to the MGM Hotel.

After 3 hours roaming around Macau, I headed back to the port, this time I would travel via the high speed ferry back to Hong Kong. I bought a super class ticket and headed to immigration. The front Super Class cabin was 100% full and all Westerners filled the cabin. It would take 60 mins from Macau to Hong Kong. It was pretty much smooth sailing back to Hong Kong and the time went by fast.

A light snack was served on the ferry and one we arrived in hong kong they closed off the economy section to let the super class off. Sweet!
