Just recieved my platinum card yesterday, and member since sates 11. I have been an amex member since 96 and called in to have it changed only to be told it does not count since this is a new centurion line card, and 2011 is the first year this card is available.

Has this happened to anyone else. I always though it was the year of your first Amex card that counted,
