I know FL is taking delivery of 20 717s this year vs the 12 they initially expected to accept. About 50 will be in service by January 2003. This will allow them to grow more rapidly and also to retire a few more DC9s sooner than anticipated. Think their fleet mix will be at about 80% 717s / 20% DC9s by yearend.

I have flown on the 717 once, MSP-MDW, and it was pretty good, even in coach. No complaints from me. FL has been a saving grace in ATL. Without them, fares would be astronomical in virtually all of the markets they serve, because DL would likely have a monopoly on most of them.
