The DTW-ACY flight is interesting. Is it getting a subsidy? I know ORD, BOS and ATL (via FL) are insured by subsidy from AC casinos, but I don't recall ever hearing about DTW (and my guess is it's not since as otherwise it would likely be year round).
DTW doesn't offer much in terms in of westbound connections for ACY originating pax, and ACY doesn't offer much in eastbound connections for DTW originating pax, afaik. MYR offers more in terms of eastbound for those from DTW, and ORD (year-round) is a gateway into Chicago and has connections for LAX and LAS for those from ACY.
Are most pax from Michigan looking to visit and gamble in ACY?
