okay, I jumped in on the recent Capital One "match your miles up to 100k" promo and thought I was living large.

I just booked a two-nite stay at the San Francisco Union Square Hilton on the Capitol One website. After I completed the reservation it dawned on my that I was never asked to enter my Hilton Honors info (I'm a Diamond Member).
I subsequently phoned the hotel and they confirmed I had a room reserved, but advised that I would not receive any Hilton Honors points for my stay. I guess that's understandable, and I'm sure Capitol One disclosed this when I signed up for the card.
My questions: It appears that the folks at the Union Square Hilton will have no visibility to my participation in the Hilton Honors program. If I provide them with my Hilton Honors # at check in will I receive any of the usual Diamond perks? (upgraded room, breakfast vouchers, parking discounts, access to exec lounge) Or does booking through the Capitol One site make me ineligible for any perks???
Any insight(s) are most welcome.
