If you discount the 20-40% of the BE cabin flying non-revs and aggregate the actual per seat revenue I bet the actual per flight J revenue is closer to $1500 then it is $4000.
Make the premium cabin actually reflect the number of people who pay full price and you will see 6-8 seats.
BTW, this is far from MY idea... "Upgrade class" is alive and well in DL's own Domestic program. If it works there....
Re: my leaving: I did for Int but they still want me domestically because they DO allow a cheap upgrade. How do you explain Delta's split personality?
DL's domestic F is a better seat with a box lunch served on a plate and a couple of drinks. It is far from a premium product. If DL shrunk the F cabin to what it can likely sell at or close to F and upgraded the product to what a paying F pax expects, it would make some money and get rid of the freeloaders who want to buy a cheap ticket and sit in a better one.
