I have three Win7 machines at home and a Win7 laptop that I use at work. There was a round of updates about two weeks ago that seems to have caused significant problems on 3 of the 4 machines. Two machines lost all of their printers. This problem was repeatable. I discovered that the problem was the print spool service was no longer starting automatically. At least that was readily fixed by starting it manually. Since then, they've run fine. However, one machine which I don't use regularly blue-screened after the update. I was able to repair it by doing a system restore, but it was pretty scary for awhile -- it had some important data that wasn't backed up sitting on its C-drive and I was afraid I'd lost it. I am not, for the time being, installing updates to that machine until, at minimum, I can backup everything this weekend and start playing around with the updates.

The problem is that, in each case, multiple updates were installed so, at the moment, I have no idea which one is causing the problem.

Anyone else experiencing this?
